[Redial Poll] User feedback/idea thread.

As per the 2008 thread, we'd like to add some new features this year. Some are common sense - like fixing various bugs in the skin, etcetera - but others haven't even been discussed yet.

This is everyone's chance to help contribute; ideas posted here will be considered (serious suggestions only, please) and perhaps implemented down the line. We make no promises that ideas, chosen or not, *will* be implemented, though, as this site is a hobby for us and we all have lives.

That aside, go ahead - what new feature or idea do you have for the site? Some new examples include more forums (like the AE one), a new tool, or whatever else you can think of.

Maybe signature images? But! Limit them to a certain kb, and width and height in px?

instead of one annoyingly long thread for music, movies and tv. How about an entertainment forum where specific albums and shows can be discussed in their own threads.

Agreed. I will try to convince my minions.

So I guess Mak DOESN'T get the credit after all. Initial reaction to CK's idea = positive.

Search not being so gay, and to quote yourself.

Rep system would be good if doable <3

I disagree with the rep idea - loads of people (myself included) just turn rep off anyway, so why bother to include it?

Also, rep just encourages fireworks, as all-out arguments are the most efficient way to gain rep. Personally I don't think that flames, flamebait or trolling are bad things for forums, in moderation, sometimes they kick life into threads. However, I wouldn't want to see it widespread - after all, this is Redial, not Alliance Politics.

I was going to suggest recruiting Lene, but since she's already here...

...let's open a gallery for her (and possibly others) to post their art, perhaps?

[Edit]

I also oppose rep as pointless and potentially problematic. I mean really, what good did it ever do on the TDZK boards?

It made me feel good. And since my name is the one in bright red, I'm pretty sure I GET TO WIN.

I feel abused

Seriously though, remember the Polls thread? People will negrep you just because they can.

Though I suppose some might argue that that's a good case to include it :P

could you remove the filter? i don't feel like i can adequately express myself without a good curseword or three. Also, could you remove the ponies flowersssss that sent me that "warning?"

Filter's already been mentioned, it should be user-selectable, but isn't for some reason...

We're working on it.

If we can't fix it, then yeah, we'll probably just turn it off.
