Can I suggest that someone unsticky the Admin Teasing and Speculation thread? I'm not convinced it really needs to be there anymore.

Alliance Politics was far and away the most interesting of the TDZK boards, and I believe behind only General Discussion for activity.

I don't think rep is necessary, but having it wouldn't lead to doomsday either.

I disagree. Alliance Politics was the "loudest" board, full of chest-beating, dick-measuring, shouting and name calling. Sticks and stones I guess, but AP always brought out the worst in me and that's why I eventually chose to avoid it.

Not that I'm saying rep would directly lead to a reincarnation of Alliance Politics, but steps on slippery slopes and all that.

AP was the only reason to log onto the TDZK forums, it was a laugh.

I did not mind the art section either, had some quite talented people posting there.

Also, where have the weekly announcements gone, i feel let down by the Redial Team.

I suspect Iccyh went to the same place TDZK did...

He's in AE, not WoW.

That said, I also blame Iccyh, he broke the schedule. You want a weekly feature, Nagel? Is this a high-demand thing? Because we could bring it back.

You could even write for it!

I warn you that the alternative will be listening to me advance my theory of internet sociodynamics.

Aye, FOAM-E's right: if you want to write a feature, contact us. If it passes muster we'll gladly post it up.

The real reason for the disappearance of the weeklies is because we all got fairly lazy, and the delay of Fleets threw a serious wrench in the site's activity and plans. No game = less incentive (for both users and staff).

So, I suppose, a better purpose for this thread: What ideas do YOU, the users, have to bring some activity over here to the 'dial? I'd love to see activity rivaling the old TDZK forums - really, I would, I have nothing else to do online. :(

We could feature a bunch of wow trash to attract the sort of people that play that game regularly.

...

yeah, I'd much rather listen to FOAM-E's diatrides on internet sociodynamics. Beats the hell out of debating physics with him. Meanwhile, rep? Ponies that. That kind of balloons just makes me more arrogant and ambitious. That's not reallly a good thing.

zzirc would make me happy. I'm too lazy to turn the old laptop on and copy the irc files I haveon it. So like, please spend twenty hours of your life making something that will save me five minutes.

Oh, do yourr taxes guys. I'm not telling you again.

Have to say this forum is almost impersonating activity successfully for a bit of time here and there at the moment. But if there's a demand for weekly features, same goes. I may even write one. One day.

Ew, I know that feeling.

I agree with CK, I once thought about writing a feature just for the sake of it and seeing if I could get it posted, until I realised I had nothing to write about.

This is not actually an obstacle to writing a feature.

Heh, just noticed the title/rank change (under name). Was that always in there or did it arrive with the recent set of improvements?
